Freeplane

Freeplane is a tool for creating and designing mind maps that you can use to put your ideas in order and construct complex schema in a simple manner.

To create your schema, you'll have a multitude of options: dynamic links between concepts, new node creation, insertion of images and icons, different viewing modes (cloud form, classic layout, etc.) and dozens of formatting possibilities.

To each idea or task that you add to your schema you have the possibility of writing and attaching a more extensive document, thanks to a built-in text editor. This allows you to create a tidy map that may seem small, but is actually loaded with more information behind the scenes.

Freeplane gives you many tools for mind mapping and idea organizing, although its unattractive interface may make it difficult to get started.
